Luis de la Prida is a Managing Partner and Principal at The NYBB Group and NYBB Commercial Real Estate, Inc., where he leverages over 30 years of expertise to guide entrepreneurs, private equity firms, and lower middle-market companies through complex mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions. Specializing in the healthcare and business services sectors, Luis represents clients with annual revenues ranging from $5 million to $50 million, delivering tailored advisory services that drive strategic growth and successful outcomes.
As a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CMAA), Luis combines a rich financial background, including nearly a decade in international finance at J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston, with hands-on operational leadership as the former Chief Operating Officer of a multi-specialty medical group. In this role, he managed a multi-million-dollar budget, oversaw the acquisition and integration of seven medical practices, and built urgent care centers from the ground up—experience that gives him unique insight into the operational and strategic needs of healthcare providers.
In addition to his advisory work, Luis is an influential leader within the urgent care industry. He serves as President of the Urgent Care Foundation, is an ex-officio member of the Urgent Care Association, and holds a position on the board of the Northeast Regional Urgent Care Association. These roles underscore his commitment to advancing healthcare services and supporting industry professionals.
Luis has been involved in M&A transactions across multiple healthcare sectors, including ambulatory care, behavioral health, emergency medicine, and durable medical equipment. His expertise has made him a respected speaker and author, with articles featured in Becker’s Hospital Review, Irving Levin Associates, and Fierce Healthcare.
Luis chairs the Membership Committee of the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA). He co-founded and co-chairs the Long Island chapter of the AM&AA. Luis is a former member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
He holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Fordham University.
